AI Information Kiosk: Smarter Sharing For Events
Introduction
One of the questions visitors will commonly ask is "Where is the next session?" at a large event. What time does the program start? In what location or activity? Typically, the only place to get the answers is to find one of the staff members at the event, wait at a help desk, or look for information on a phone.
An AI Information Kiosk is a simpler alternative. It's made up of a tablet, a display screen, and a 3D AI avatar that will present information right to guests. Attendees can access the kiosk without having to interact with staff for every reply they need, and can select what they want to know and get the answer on the screen immediately.
The setting is intentionally simple. A tablet is positioned in front of a larger display screen, and the frequently asked questions are listed by easily-tappable buttons. When a guest clicks on a question, the related avatar video will appear on the screen and present a response in a voice. When the answer is completed, the kiosk resets for the next guest.
How does the AI Information Kiosk function?
The experience designed by Quenth consists of four steps:
- 1 A tablet displays the question: As guests approach the kiosk, a list of questions is presented to them via the tap buttons on the tablet screen.
- 2 Guest selects a question: They simply select the question they want addressed without having to rely on help from the event staff.
- 3 The avatar delivers the response: The selected question activates a video on the main screen; a 3D avatar of a person (AI) reads the answer.
- 4 The kiosk resets: Once the response is finished, the user will return to the question menu and be able to use the kiosk again.
This is an information stand that can be used by the general public to retrieve information during an event without any person standing next to it and answering the same questions over and over again.
Two ways this can run
There are two possible formats for the Information Kiosk: predefined and live.
Predefined Format
The predefined format is the one that has been prepared with questions and answers. The questions all relate to a particular avatar video. The video automatically plays when a guest presses a question. This is especially helpful if an event has a list of common questions that can be anticipated.
Live Format
The concept is carried forward in the live format. The AI avatar bot can answer the questions the guest asks or types, rather than being restricted to a specific set of questions. The answer is tailored to the situation and does not require a great deal of pre-planning.
What makes AI Information Kiosk so effective at Events?
The AI Assistant's greatest benefit is that it solves one of the biggest challenges of events: Having staff everywhere at once.
In large events, information desks can be overrun, and staff can be answering the same questions over and over the day. There's also a self-service kiosk. An answer to a typical question is available for guests to find on their own rather than having to wait for someone to help them. It can also increase the accessibility of information. The participants don't need to wade through print media or look for the right individual to ask a question; they just walk up to the kiosk and pick one.
The visual avatar of the AI Bot enhances the experience. The guests are not told the answer in a text message on a screen; they see a realistic 3D avatar that reads the answer. This helps to make the interaction seem more like a conversation and helps to keep it structured and controlled.

FAQs
How many questions can be signed in to an AI Information Kiosk?
The number can be adjusted as per the requirements of the event. In the Jharkhand example, there were 20 questions, but the number of questions can be modified.
Is the avatar a human or cartoon?
Instead of a cartoon-style character or a text-only UI, the concept features a human, realistic 3D avatar for video responses.
Can the same kiosk be used for different events?
Yes. The question set can be set for each event, as can the avatar responses, and, with the same hardware, different hardware can be used for different events.
